Tricam Industries — Eden Prairie, MN

Update: Tricam Industries’ space was featured in the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal as a Cool Office.

Tricam Industries designs, manufactures, and sells ladders and garden implements. The designers, engineers, and marketers who create and manage product sales — the Tricam employees — have many choices about where they can work in this economy. Tricam’s Executive Vice President, Jeff Skubic, came to PlanForce with a vision to change his serviceable, yet tired, suburban office into a workspace where the employee of tomorrow will want to work.

“I compete for engineers and marketers with edgy, legendary downtown brick and timber buildings, with all the festivities of First Avenue. How do I make my suburban office worth the drive? Free parking is great — but then what?” asks Skubic.

PlanForce redesigned their 6,250 square foot office in a way that is edgy and exciting, and Skubic reports an employee force that is engaged with their work. He now enjoys having prospects visit the facility. And he realized his dream: a building that contributes to the future success of the organization.

The project also included all new office furnishings. Careful work went into the selection of workstation design, furniture placement, and colors and materials that would reflect the bold, industrial nature of the Tricam corporate brand, along with product brands like Gorilla Ladders and Weather Guard. From the board room to the bathroom and everywhere in between, the new Tricam office communicates a cohesive brand message, while ensuring the workspace layout and functionality the staff needs to fulfill their corporate mission.

Every time people walk into the office, they are impressed. This is an awesome space!
