Developer First & First has sold the 811 Glenwood building in Minneapolis to Ackerberg for $4.875 million. In early 2014, PlanForce guided a renovation that reimagined this under-utilized property, built in 1924 as a dry goods storage facility. The redevelopment added new windows, an enlarged and welcoming entrance lobby, exposed staircase, and polished concrete floors.
According to reporting in the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal, Ackerberg CEO Stuart Ackerberg praised the building and it’s location. “It used to be a solid B and C market, now I see it as an emerging market.” says Ackerberg. “It has a vibe and pulse.”
We agree, and we can’t wait to see where the building goes next!
