Erbert & Gerbert’s — Generation 4 Prototype

Over the past decade, PlanForce Group has designed many Erbert & Gerbert’s restaurants, a national chain of quick serve sandwich shops. So, when the brand wanted to redesign the franchise prototype architecture to better reflect their new slogan of “Bold Between the Breads,” PlanForce was a natural call.

The new design meets the “bold” mandate with large brand graphics, a structural slat wall that carries across the ceiling of the dining space, and even red foot lights along the base of the counter. Moreover, the order process has been redesigned to encourage increased purchases of chips, cookies, and other impulse buys.

With a mandate to create a truly branded environment — one that will be immediately recognizable, even without the E&G logo — the design is bright, bold, and adventurous. It moves the brand away from an “industrial” look to one that is clean and modern, without becoming sterile.

As Erbert & Gerbert’s continues their growth across the Midwest, the new prototype design will be rolled out to both existing and new locations. Watch for this bold design coming to your neighborhood soon!
